Start by shifting your weight onto one leg. This instantly gives your body a relaxed and natural shape. Lengthen your neck slightly and keep your shoulders soft rather than tense. Let your hands rest gently or interact with your clothing. Small movements look more real and give your photographer more variety to work with.
Practice micro movements. These are tiny adjustments in the angle of your chin, the tilt of your head or the position of your hips. Every small shift creates a new shape. Use your breath too. A soft exhale relaxes your jaw and helps your expression look genuine.
If you want to prepare ahead of time, practise in the mirror or take a few phone photos to discover which angles you prefer. Everyone has poses that feel natural and flattering. The key is to stay relaxed and keep moving rather than freezing in one position.
